Overview and history

The Compliance in Mining Network (CiMN) is an initiative by companies from the global mining industry. The network’s mission is to prevent corruption in all of its forms and promote a high level of compliance across the mining industry.

CiMN member companies recognize that corruption is detrimental to business and has negative social and economic impacts in the communities and countries where it takes place. CiMN member companies believe that working openly and collaboratively fosters the vision of a mining industry free of corruption.

In March 2016, CiMN was founded by seven companies from the global mining industry, representing mining majors and original equipment producers. CiMN is an entirely business-led initiative aiming to create a common platform and shared solutions for combatting corrupt practices in the mining industry.

CiMN was established in October 2016.
